The White House Easter Egg Roll [video]

The annual event at the White House, which featured Glee castmembers, continues to draw participation from gay couples

On Monday, April 5, President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama held the 2010 White House Easter Egg Roll. Nearly 30,000 people were expected to attend the event throughout the day. Amber Riley, of the hit Fox TV show Glee, kicked off the day with a rousing national anthem as the First Family looked on. And then it was time to roll eggs with the President, First Lady, and the Easter Bunny.

Among the many gay families attending this year’s event: Martin Gill, his partner and their three children. Gill has served as a foster parent for two of the children, who are brothers, and is suing the state of Florida to challenge its ban on gay adoption. An appeals court in the state that has heard the case is expected to issue a decision in the near future.
