''Raising the Roof'' at Town [video]

The cast of Fiddler on the Roof raises more than $6,000 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS

On Monday, April 26, the national touring company of Fiddler on the Roof convened at Town Danceboutique, where they performed an assortment of Broadway standards, raising more than $6,000 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

The event, hosted by Broadway legend Harvey Fierstein, included performances by Jessica Scholl, Katie Babb, Joel Bernstein, Emily Shoolin, Leslie Alexander, Matthew Rossoff, Kerry Alexander, Matthew Marks, Colby Foytik, Kaitlin Stilwell, Gary Brintz, Zal Owen, Juliana Stefanov, Scott Leiendecker, Deborah Grausman, David W. Gilleo, Hannah DelMonte, and Mary Stout.

Among the songs performed: “Casting Call for a Best Friend,” “Suddenly Seymour,” “An Explanation to Mom,” and “Seasons of Love. “

Food for the evening was provided by Joquin “Jocko” Fajardo.

With the $6,000 tally, The Fiddler on the Roof national touring cast has now raised than $100,000 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
