The Metropolitan Police Department held a press conference on Tuesday, Aug. 10, shortly after 4 p.m., at 1117 10 Street NW, outside of an apartment complex where one day prior Delando King had been stabbed to death.
According to police, the 34-year-old victim was found stabbed shortly after 6 p.m., on Monday, Aug. 9, inside his third floor apartment at Quincy Court
Though police have not said whether they are investigating the homicide as a bias-related crime, or whether King was gay, MPD stressed during the press conference that at this time police believe King’s homicide is not related to the string of gay attacks that have occurred in the District over the past two months.
