According to police, the 34-year-old victim was found stabbed shortly after 6 p.m., on Monday, Aug. 9, inside his third floor apartment at Quincy Court

Though police have not said whether they are investigating the homicide as a bias-related crime, or whether King was gay, MPD stressed during the press conference that at this time police believe King’s homicide is not related to the string of gay attacks that have occurred in the District over the past two months.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099 or 1-888-919-2746. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to D.C. CRIME SOLVERS at 1-866-411-TIPS and to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.
