Basra Boy and The Weir at Keegan Theatre

In the one person show Basra Boy, The Keegan Theatre offers a look at the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and their impact on the streets of Belfast. The world premiere is written by Rosemary Jenkinson, directed by Abigail Isaac and stars Josh Sticklin. Conor McPherson’s drama The Weir, meanwhile, is set in a pub in rural Ireland, and focuses on the bar’s regulars and a young Dublin woman newly moved to the area. Keegan Theatre’s Mark A. Rhea directs the production, starring David Jourdan, Kevin Adams, Susan Marie Rhea, Jon Townson and Mick Tinder. Running in rep through March 12. Church Street Theater, 1742 Church St. NW.
