Congressman addressed bigotry of DADT policy, shower fears

At the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network (SLDN) National Dinner on Saturday, March 19, 2011, Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) spoke to the crowd about the long journey that led to the passage of the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Repeal Act in December 2010 — and the work that remains ahead.

Telling the crowd of more than 1,300 people that all DADT “did is weaken this country,” Frank pointed out that even the new Republican House leadership had made no efforts to turn back the repeal.
