Olivia Newton-John comes to Strathmore

Olivia NewtonJohn

From the films Grease and Xanadu to the mega-pop hit “Physical” to LOGO’s Sordid Lives, Australian performer Olivia Newton-John has managed to achieve a sense of both career longevity and diversity, and fairly broad appeal to various audiences. But of course, her core fan base is and has always been gays and the broader LGBT community. So expect Strathmore to be plenty gay next Friday, Nov. 16, when Newton-John will sing through her pop hits as well as some of her lesser-known recent tunes. Friday, Nov. 16, at 8 p.m. Music Center at Strathmore, 5301 Tuckerman Lane, North Bethesda. Tickets are $38 to $78. Call 301-581-5100 or visit strathmore.org.
