Janelle Monáe’s Funky New Video “Dance Apocalyptic”

The new Janelle Monáe album “The Electric Lady” doesn’t drop until September, but she’s already released the 2nd video from it.  Following on the heels of “Q.U.E.E.N.” (featuring Erykah Badu), “Dance Apocalyptic” is another hot track that is sure to be one of the most memorable jams of the summer.   Janelle Monáe has received some critical acclaim (her 2010 album “The ArchAndroid” was widely hailed), and did just appear on the #1 single for the group fun., “We Are Young.”  However she has yet to produce that big breakthrough single that launches her onto the pop charts.  Perhaps this will be the one.
