Philadelphia continues to welcome LGBT travelers with new ads

Philadelphia, which tied with Seattle for the the top spot on the Human Rights Campaign’s Municipal Equality Index, has launched a new tourism campaign that continues its groundbreaking inclusion of LGBT welcoming messaging. In 2004, Philadelphia produced the first TV commercial by a U.S. destination specifically targeting the LGBT travel market.

Coinciding with the new ad campaign, Philalephia’s tourism officals are also promoting a special hotel package. As part of the promotion, visitors can book a two-night stay for any two consecutive nights of the week at one of 20 participating hotels, receive a welcome gift and free hotel parking (up to a $100 value at Center City hotels). The package will be offered all year long based on availability. Booking information is available at visitphilly.com/overnight.
