Honey Maid features gay parents in ‘wholesome family’ ad

We suddenly have the urge to buy some graham crackers. Honey Maid’s latest advertisement centers on the idea of “wholesome” — from its wholesome snacks, to the wholesome families it features in its commercial.

The 30-second spot features a rock and roll father, a multi-racial family and two dads raising a family together. So far, response on the Honey Maid Facebook and YouTube pages has been overwhelmingly positive — though we can likely expect the negative trolls to rear their heads once the ad gains a bit more notoriety.

In the meantime, lets enjoy this statement which Honey Maid emailed to the good people over at The Huffington Post: “As a brand that has been a part of families’ lives for nearly 90 years, Honey Maid recognizes that while the makeup and day-to-day lives of families have evolved, the idea and importance of wholesome family connections remains the same.”

Graham crackers for everyone.
