Join us on a special trip down "leathery lane."

With the 2016 Centaur Motorcycle Club-hosted Mid-Atlantic Leather Weekend officially upon us, we thought it a perfect time to rifle through the magazine’s leather archive and take a look back at some of the covers — and stories — Metro Weekly has presented over the years. Enjoy the trip down “Leathery Lane”….

In 2000, we served up an in-depth Q&A with the (seemingly) ageless Frank Nowicki. The funny, charming, beloved Nowicki has long been Master of Ceremonies of the MAL events — to this day, he’s not missed a year since Metro Weekly began covering MAL in 1995 — and we paid tribute with a glamour portrait by Todd Franson. The 2000 interview is not yet online but you can learn more about Frank in this 2013 interview by contributing editor Doug Rule.
