Currently undergoing an extensive, $135 million restoration, the Victorian Gothic Revival structure, nearly 140 years old, was constructed of nearly 4 million bricks. Among its many standout architectural details are gables, turrets, garrets and a large rose window. It was erected over a pauper's cemetery, which has helped cement its reputation as a haunted building.
