TripAdvisor.jpgTripAdvisor, the world's largest travel site, announced its 2012 Travelers' Choice best hotel winners. Among the various winners are many LGBT-friendly properties.

The 10th annual awards recognizes properties in the U.S. and around the world, in addition to winners in the categories of Luxury, Bargain, Service, B&Bs and Inns, All-Inclusive, Spa, and Trendiest.  In total, 3,943 properties have been recognized this year with dedicated lists featured for 30 countries and eight regions worldwide. The TripAdvisor Travelers' Choice winners are based solely on the reviews and opinions submitted by its users.

A review of the list of the top 25 list of U.S. winners revealed members of the International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association and/or TAG Approved properties:

Nearly all of the winners that made the top 25 list of trendiest hotels in the U.S. are IGLTA members and/or TAG Approved.

In addition, gay-owned Maury Place at Monument, in Richmond, Va, ranked 25th among the list of top B&Bs and inns in the U.S., and the lesbian-owned Queen of Hearts Resort, in Palm Springs, Cal. ranked 19th among the list of top bargain hotels in the U.S. and 9th among the list of top relaxation/spa hotels in the U.S.
