Gay man beaten in argument then run over with SUV in Toronto

''They have to look us in the eye and tell us they're sorry. It won't help, but I have to know that they're sorry. And then I want them to go home and tell their mothers that they did this.''

Ellen Skinner whose 27-year-old, gay son Chris Skinner was assaulted and run over at 3am this past Sunday in Toronto, Canada. There were witnesses and police say they have one grainy photo of the black SUV that was used, but they say that labeling this a hate crime is only speculation. CTV reports that Skinner was engaged to be married to his fiancee, Ryan Cook, next year. (CTV)

''We know nothing about why this happened ... (those responsible) have to be caught and punished. He's my golden boy ... he's gone and I can't believe it, he was so popular and had so many friends.''

Junne Page, grandmother of Chris Skinner, 27, who was killed in Toronto, Canada after some unidentified men got out of their black SUV to argue Skinner and then attacked him. But the murdered apparently occurred when the men got back into the vehicle to run Skinner's body over. Police are still hunting for the men who committed the crime, and they will not say whether it was motivated by anti-gay bias or not because there is not enough evidence yet.(News Dunham Region)
