''The energy felt good. Adrenaline is a crazy thing to feel. That's what I love about performing. I'm hoping people were entertained. For those who weren't, maybe I'm not their cup of tea.... If it's gonna be edited, then in a way that's discrimination. I don't mean to get political, but Madonna, Britney and Christina weren't edited.''
"Glam" singer Adam Lambert telling the LA Times his feelings about his performance on the American Music Awards. On the live, family-friendly awards show he cavorted with and fondled several male and female dancers -- rubbing one's guys face deep into his crotch (at which point ABC cut the video to a long shot of the audience). He also appeared to make out briefly with one of his male band members. It's not quite clear, but some claim his drop-n-roll move was actually a stumble-n-fall. Either way, Lambert's first foray into televised outrageousness may not have had the effect he was hoping for, perhaps because he was fully dressed in a dark gray business-like suit -- tie and spikes included. If only he had shown off his navel, maybe...? (LA Times) (MTV) (Rolling Stone)
