I went on the radio in both DC and Harrisonburg, and gave reasons why I didn't think it was necessary to put that language in the constitution.... I believe in equal rights for all people. For me marriage is between a man and a woman.''
Creigh Deeds, the candidate just chosen by Virginia's Democrats to run for Governor of that state. His Republican opponent, Bob McDonald, has also reportedly stated his opposition to same-sex marriage as well. The videographer, who appears to be a Reuplican supporter, asked Deeds if gays and lesbians were right to call marriage a "civil right," to which Deeds can be seen left speechless with his mouth open.
