Chris, a gay man who was says he was going to a Santa Cruz, CA bar called the Blue Lagoon, when he was violently accosted by a man -- allegedly Cole White, a man who KGO-TV says has been arrested multiple times for public intoxication. Chris says he has numerous a black eye, cuts and bruises from the incident which moved from the street to inside the bar. The bar's manager, Fred Friedman, told the news channel that Chris was acting aggressively inside the bar once White followed him in. (KGO-TV)
''I heard the bouncer say 'Get out of here,' which I don't understand. I told him 'I just got attacked for being gay. This is a hate crime.'''
Chris explaining more of what happened inside The Blue Lagoon between him, an attacker and the bar's management. He adds that after he was thrown out one of the attackers alleged friends snatched his cell phone away because he had taken a picture of the man, Cole White, 24. The bar's manager, Fred Friedman, says there was some bumping and name-calling that led up to the altercation, and that everyone involved is now permanently banned from his establishment, that they should have.
