''Really? You're gonna shoot the gay guy down? I never have had a problem saying who I am.... I am who I am. I was never in, as they say. Never.''
Actor Sean Hayes speaking with The Advocate about his displeasure with that magazine's past decision to publicly out him as being gay. For several years, Hayes played Jack McFarland on "Will and Grace," an NBC comedy that became a pioneering achievement in the way American television portrayed out gay characters. Hayes also played a gay character in a film 12 years ago called, "Billy's Hollywood Screen Kiss." But, to the frustration of many admirers, would never confirmed to the public that he was gay.
