Captain Christopher Corbett, of the Waterbury, CT police, regarding Kevin Gray, 64, a Catholic priest who has been charged with stealing $1.3 million dollars from Sacred Heart. He allegedly spent the money on lavish hotels, dining, and expensive clothing. But he also is reported to have provided three men with funds, too -- one he met at a park, one he met at a male strip club, and another he met through a male escort service. Some portion of the credit card charges involved went to college tuition for the men. According to New York Daily News, Gray allegedly ''hated being a priest and got lousy assignments from the Archdiocese of Hartford.''The Hartford Courant reports that Gray said ''he is gay and has problems with the church's stance on homosexuality.''
