''You can have this struggle with same-sex attraction, say no to it, and still follow Christ.... I think we're all born heterosexual actually, and then stuff goes wrong.''

Tom Brock, a preacher at Hope Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, who was outed by Lavender Magazine, a gay publication in Minnesota. A reporter published a controversial article about Brock in June, detailing confessions that the gay-opposing preacher made at a so-called "12-step support group" for people who don't want to think or act on their homosexual interests. Here, according to AP, Brock describes himself as a ''57-year-old virgin.'' He declares that he is neither a hypocrite nor a bigot despite his stated belief that gays will go to hell. A "task force" looking into the claims of the Lavendar article has allegedly determined that Brock has not engaged in gay sex, reports AP, so he has been allowed to continue leading the congregation. He also says he wishes to take his cable access show to a national audience. (AP / KATV)
