Herremans seems to be apologizing for a somewhat disparaging remark about gay sex or gay sex scenes playing out in the popular HBO series "True Blood." The show is based on a series of novels about vampires, shapeshifters and other supernatural interests, written by Charlaine Harris. It is in its third season and was created by Alan Ball, an openly gay man who is a top Hollywood writer, director and producer. The show has always featured both gay and straight content along with lots of male and female nudity and sexuality.
