Joe McElderry, 19, a singer who won the 2009 season of "X Factor," a UK TV talent show produced by Simon Cowell of "American Idol" fame. A month before doing this interview with the Daily Mirror, McElderry's Twitter account was allegedly hacked by a third party who posted a fake coming out message. He appears to be saying here that the Twitter incident helped him to realize that he really is attracted to men.
