''I can't wait until they add an 'S' at the end of 'LGBTQ...S' for straight, so that it's all the same, all across the board, you know.'' -- Jason Mraz

''We had to go to Massachusetts, and that's okay, we got married there. We're domestic partners here. But we would love to be married here in California.'' -- Jane Lynch

''All of a sudden, when it comes to the gay and lesbian community, we're reverting back into 'Religion!' and 'Sanctity!' and all this. You know what -- separation, church and state. Let's keep the integrity of our Constitution, how's that? The sanctity of our Constitution.'' -- Adam Lambert

''Even though I'm British, I will be at the forefront of anything you guys want.... How crazy is it that I could have a son with my partner but I can't marry my partner?''

Singer and composer Elton John speaking at a benefit for the American Foundation for Equal Rights. He told the crowd that, in the early 1980s, he was ''a disgrace'' for not doing anything to help people with AIDS. He recently became a father with his long-time, legal partner, David Furnish. "I don't have everything because I don't have the respect of people like the church or like politicians who tell me that I'm not worthy, that I'm lesser because I'm gay. Well, fuck you!"
