"Upon investigation, we concluded the advertisement does not violate our guidelines and was removed in error.... The ad is now running and we apologize for the inconvenience."

Andrew Noyes, Facebook's manager of public policy communications, as quoted by Fox News. Noyes was referring to a movie poster image for the Greek film Attenberg. The image now appears on a Facebook group for the film. It depicts two women facing one another with their mouths wide open, one putting her tongue in the other's. (Fox News)

According to a review of the film in The Hollywood Reporter, the awkward scene opens the movie. The somewhat immature lead character seems to have a disdain for any sexual contact, so her best friend tries to show her how to tongue kiss.
