The NSO celebrates India

Christoph Eschenbach conducts the National Symphony Orchestra in a program, part of the Kennedy Center's maximum INDIA festival, featuring Concerto for Four Soloists, a world premiere from tabla player/composer Zakir Hussain that combines elements of Hindu ragas and talas, Sufi kalam and Christian church music. Mezzo-soprano Kelley O'Connor and Indian vocalists Shankar Mahadevan and Hariharan also perform.
