American University's theater program offers a production of Bare: A Pop Opera, a musical about two closeted gay roommates at a Catholic boarding school who carry on a clandestine relationship until it spirals out of their control. The off-Broadway musical by Jon Hartmere and Damon Intrabartolo touches on themes of love, identity and suicide, and American University has organized post-show panel discussions about faith and sexuality after the two Saturday matinee performances.
