As part of its summer-long "Totally '80s Awesome" series, the American Film Institute's Silver Theatre presents a screening of Jonathan Demme's celebrated 1984 concert film focused on David Byrne's Talking Heads, when the quirky New Wave pop band was at its "Burning Down The House" peak. And you may ask yourself, to paraphrase the band's hit "Once In A Lifetime," why go? Well, for one thing, audience members at the Saturday, Aug. 25, screening will have a chance to win a copy of a 25th anniversary edition Blu-ray of the film. Makes sense to us. Saturday, Aug. 25, at 9:45 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 29, at 9:30 p.m., and Thursday, Aug. 30, at 9:30 p.m. AFI Silver Theatre, 8633 Colesville Road, Silver Spring. Tickets are $11.50 general admission.
