Married in Spandex

Voted audience favorite at Philadelphia’s QFest last year, Allison Kole and Devin Gallagher’s film Married In Spandex focuses on Amanda and Rachel, as they lead a road trip among family and friends from their Philadelphia home to Ames, Iowa, to get married in a splashy, spandex-covered ceremony. The film, whose costs were covered by a successful Kickstarter fundraising campaign, screens this weekend in its D.C. debut as a benefit for the DC Center, followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers. Saturday, Aug. 4, at 8 p.m. Source, 1835 14th St. NW. Tickets are $10.50. Visit marriedinspandex.com for more information.
