Tickets on Sale Tomorrow for Justin Timberlake at Verizon Center

Screen Shot 2013-09-29 at 8.03.46 PM.pngThis is shaping up to be the biggest week yet for Justin Timberlake, whose turn as a Hollywood leading man comes Friday, Oct. 4, with Brad Furman’s drama Runner Runner.

But the former N’Sync’er was a pop star first, and though he took a seven-year hiatus from music, in 2013 he’s come charging back in a big way, with not one but two albums — the second of which, The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2, sees release Tuesday, Oct. 1. I’m not holding my breath that the set will match the brilliance or cohesiveness of 2006’s Future Sex/Love Sounds. After all, the first 20/20 Experience, released in March, showed a Timberlake seemingly only half as committed to music as before his acting career took off — by which I mean only about half the songs on that set were truly great, with the rest seeming half-baked. At least the new set’s pleasing first single “Take Back The Night” offers promise.

To promote the album, Timberlake, who is a consummate performer, has also announced additional dates on The 20/20 Experience World Tour. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, Sept. 30, for the Feb. 24, 2014, stop at the Verizon Center. Many previously announced dates on the tour sold out well in advance, so if you want to go, don’t delay.

Tickets on sale Monday, Sept. 30, at 10 a.m. for the Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, show at Verizon Center, 601 F St. NW. Tickets are $52.50 to $178. Call 202-628-3200 or visit verizoncenter.com.
