A new trailer for Netflix’s Sense8 is promising an emotional and action-packed end to the series.

The new trailer asks a question that has been pondered since the start of the series: what does it mean to be human? That and many other questions will hopefully be resolved in the two-hour cinematic finale.

The series, which aired two seasons on Netflix, has been heralded for its cultural, sexual and gender diversity, including plotlines about a closeted gay actor and an ostracized transgender woman.

Sense8 ended on a cliffhanger after Netflix canceled the series without warning in 2017, causing uproar among fans, with one petition demanding a third season garnering over 500,000 signatures.

The protest paid off when creator Lana Wachoswski announced that Netflix was allowing a two-hour movie to conclude the series.

“Improbably, unforeseeably, your love has brought Sense8 back to life,” Wachowski wrote on Twitter. “(I could kiss every single one of you!). It is my great pleasure, as well as Netflix’s (believe me, they love this show as much as we do but the numbers have been challenging) to announce that there will be another two hour special released next year.”

Sense8 will be available to stream June 8th on Netflix. Watch the trailer below.
