Award season continues unabated, with yet another round of high-profile nominations revealed, with this latest list causing entertainment media to jump for joy for some nods and also decry the lack of attention other talents and projects received.
The nominees for the 2023 BAFTAs have been announced, and while there are many familiar titles and artists included, the British Academy Film Awards organization has favored one title above all others, and it is in stark contrast to what is receiving the same type of praise in the U.S.
The remake of All Quiet on the Western Front leads the charge with 14 nominations, beating out the next most-nominated films, Everything Everywhere All at Once and The Banshees of Inisherin, by four nods.
Interestingly, the picture has only managed one or two nominations at most of the major American film ceremonies, so its performance at the BAFTAs is already surprising.
The 2023 BAFTAs will take place on February 19 and air on BBC networks.
Here is the full list of nominees for the 2023 BAFTAs

Everything Everywhere All At Once won everything at the Oscars…
Well, almost everything.
The universe-hopping film walked away with nearly every Academy Award it was up for, claiming seven trophies over the course of the evening. The unlikely box office hit snagged Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and, amazingly, three of the four acting trophies.
The second-biggest winner of the night was the German-language All Quiet on the Western Front, which was awarded four Oscars. The only other movie to collect more than a single trophy was The Whale.
Everyone in Hollywood can project and predict, but no one knows who will be named the winners at the 95th Academy Awards, to be presented Sunday, March 12, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Interested parties have a hard enough time just guessing who will be nominated.
“Seems to be that Viola, Michelle, Danielle & Cate are a lock for their outstanding work,” wrote actress and Academy member France Fisher in one of several controversial social media posts earlier this season, encouraging fellow awards voters to consider the performance by Andrea Riseborough in To Leslie for a nomination in the Leading Actress category.
The 2023 Academy Awards were enjoyable, drama-free, and of course, historic.
From record-breaking wins and diverse representation to breakthrough achievements in cinema, the 95th edition of the Oscars was a celebration of talent and inclusion.
The ceremony witnessed groundbreaking moments that will be etched in the history of the film industry for years to come, from Michelle Yeoh's highly-anticipated moment to Everything Everywhere All at Once dominating pretty much every category.
Here's a look at the history made at the 2023 Academy Awards.
