Whitman-Walker seeks members for advisory group

The Whitman-Walker Clinic is seeking applicants for its newly announced Community Advisory Group, slated to meet for the first time in March 2010.

”We want this Community Advisory Group to be a tremendous resource to help the Clinic do its work better,” WWC CEO Don Blanchon stated in a press release issued Dec. 3. ”We look forward to working with the future members of the Group.”

The group is being organized to provide input on: ”current and future health programs and services; cultural competence and training opportunities for employees and volunteers; targeted community relations and outreach efforts; and quality improvement initiatives related to patient satisfaction surveys.”

Applicants interested in joining the group have until Thursday, Dec. 31, to send a résumé and cover letter to Dave Mallory at the Whitman-Walker Clinic, 1701 14th St. NW. For more information, visit wwc.org.
