Apple confirms October 22nd event — they “still have a lot to cover”

Set the date, Apple fans — October 22nd, 10am Pacific Time. Apple have sent out their invitiations, with the invite promising that the fruity company still has a lot more to reveal just one month after its iPhone launch event. If recent rumors are to be believed, we could be looking at refreshes for the iPad, iPad mini and the MacBook Pro line-up — retina iPad mini, anyone? — but take these with a grain of salt. The curious addition is the same colorful design as that of the iPhone invitation, which heralded the arrival of the multi-hued iPhone 5C. Whether Apple is dropping hints at further colorful additions to its other products, or if it’s all just a smokescreen, we won’t know for another week.

In the meantime, set rumor mills to maximum output and contemplate which of your family members you can sell to pay for whatever Apple are set to reveal.
