Mr. T tells Fox’s O’Reilly his Snickers ad is not homophobic [video]

And I would never do a commercial if I thought it was offensive to anyone. Bill, speed walking is an Olympic sport, and that ‘s the way speed walkers walk. And the phrase ‘Get Some Nuts’ refers to Snickers candy bar having more peanuts…. I have been pitying fools for 28 years, Bill, and it’s never personal. Why didn’t someone talk to the actor who played speedwalker He would tell you about my character.”

The actor known as Mr. T reading “a little letter to my fans” on the Bill O’Reilly‘s Fox News talk show. Mr. T appeared in a Snickers commercial that was yanked by the the candy bar’s makers because a few in the gay community linked the image of a swishy male speed walker being berated by Mr. T was perceived as being insensitive to gays.
