Mike Huckabee likens gay marriage to drug users, incest, polygamy; Gay parenting like experimenting with “puppies”

”You don’t go ahead and accommodate every behavioral pattern that is against the ideal,” he said of same-sex marriage. “That would be like saying, well, there are a lot of people who like to use drugs, so let’s go ahead and accommodate those who want to use drugs. There are some people who believe in incest, so we should accommodate them. There are people who believe in polygamy, so we should accommodate them…. I think [Arizona’s ban on same-sex couples adopting and fostering] is not about trying to create statements for people who want to change the basic fundamental definitions of family….Children are not puppies,” he continued. “This is not a time to see if we can experiment and find out, how does this work? ”

Mike Huckabee, Governor of Arkansas and Fox News personality giving an interview to The Persepective. The seriously-considered Presidential nominee says in this interview that the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” military ban affects a “small group of people,” and that repealing the military’s discriminatory ban on lesbians and gays is somehow engaging in “social experiments.” He seems to allude that civil unions for gays was some type of “disingenuous” plot by the gay and lesbian community. And that his God-loving, moral beliefs don’t allow for same-sex couples to be married or to raise children. (The Perspective)
