Minister who promotes ex-gay conversions caught on “vacation” with gay male escort?

”I had surgery, and I can’t lift luggage. That’s why I hired him.”

George Alan Rekers as quoted by the Miami New Times which describes Rekers as ”a Baptist minister who is a leading scholar for the Christian right” and ”a general in the culture wars.” Here Rekers is allegedly defending his vacation with a young man who he allegedly met on the gay male escort site RentBoy.com. The escort tells the New Times that he only advertises on that site which features graphic descriptions and explicit nude photos of men offering their services. George Alan Rekers is listed as an “Officer” for the National Association for Research & Therapy of Homosexuality, which exists to further the ridiculous notion that gay people should and can be turned into heterosexuals.
