Actor Kevin Spacey responds to gay prodding: ‘I don’t live a lie.’

”I don’t live a lie. You have to understand that people who choose not to discuss their personal lives are not living a lie…. I am different than some people would like me to be. I just don’t buy into that the personal can be political. I just think that’s horseshit…. [You’re] saying that you are gay and that is how you walk about in the world and it has nothing to do with your true private life is a good distinction for you to draw. But it’s not such a good distinction for other people.”

Kevin Spacey, the well-known Hollywood actor who has been the focus of speculation about his sexuality for many years. He has not publicly said whether he is gay. In this latest interview with The Daily Beast, the interviewer identifies himself as a gay man and asks Spacey why he does not publicly do the same.
