Roseanna VitroWith her new album The Music of Randy Newman, Roseanna Vitro stakes a claim as the first jazz vocalist to explore the richly melodic, sharply observant songbook from the singer-songwriter best known for his work in creating film scores for Disney-Pixar (Toy Story, A Bug’s Life). The focus on Newman follows Vitro’s past work covering songbooks from Ray Charles and Bill Evans. Tonight, Thursday, May 26, at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Blues Alley, 1073 Wisconsin Ave. NW.
