First it was Mammoth, then Utah, and now it is Tahoe that will play host to a new LGBT ski week by promoter Tom Whitman.

Elevation Tahoe will take place Feb. 6 to 9, 2014, and will feature a schedule of après-ski and evening parties. The headlining DJs include Casey Alva, Pornstar and Blacklow.

“We’re really excited to add a third ‘Elevation’ to our schedule allowing skiers to start their gay ski week earlier on in the ski season.  Also given the location of Tahoe and the accessibility, we’re thinking Tahoe is going to be hugely popular,” said Tom Whitman.

Home to the 1960 Winter Olympics, Tahoe’s Squaw Valley will be the base camp for Elevation Tahoe. Participants will have access to more than 30 lifts, including North America’s only Funitel and an aerial cable car, that provide access to six peaks with over 270 trails.

Elevation Tahoe’s events will be centered around host hotel The Village at Squaw Valley, an all suite property consisting of one, two and three bedroom luxury suites each with full modern kitchens, living and dining area, gas fireplaces and private balconies. Reserved rooms are also available at Resort of Squaw Creek, PlumpJack Squaw Valley Inn and Squaw Valley Lodge.
