Pharrell tells Ellen he supports “equality for everybody”

“When I say equality, I mean equality for everybody.Why are you telling people who they can and cannot marry? This is 2014.”

Pharrell Williams, speaking with Ellen Degeneres on her daytime talk show. Pharrell, who earned an Oscar nomination for his song “Happy,” also opined on the issues facing women in society. “At the same time there is a lot of inequality with women. We have legislators and legislation in certain places that tell women that they can and cannot do with their bodies. How is that possible?”
