TLC’s new special “My Husband’s Not Gay” is utterly bizarre

“I’m attracted to my wife, for sure, and I’m definitely attracted to men, too.”

— One of the participants in TLC’s new special, My Husband’s Not Gay, which follows four Mormon men who experience same-sex attraction, The Wrap reports. Three of the men are married — “There is no marriage that is perfect. Ours isn’t. But, with our faith in God, we believe we can overcome anything,” one explains — while one of the men is single but wishes to settle down with a woman. “I like to say I’ve chosen an alternative to an alternative lifestyle,” he states in the trailer for the special. “I want to marry a woman, but I don’t know how to work out these feelings.” As for the wives of the men? Well, as one notes, “I get a little defensive when somebody calls my husband gay.”

Hence the title of this bizarre special, which is set to air on TLC on Sunday, January 11. Watch the trailer below (seriously, watch it).
