Matt Bomer wins Golden Globe for ‘The Normal Heart’

“To the generation that we lost and the people we continue to lose to this disease. I just want to say ‘we love you, we remember you.'”

Matt Bomer, accepting the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor in a TV series, miniseries or TV movie,  for The Normal Heart. Bomer, who is gay, called out “husband, Simon Halls, and our three kids, Kit, Walker, Henry. I love you. Thank you for putting up with me when I was 130 pounds and really grumpy when you ate pizza in front of me.” He also thanked activist/playwright Larry Kramer for his “anger and passion and writing this story that changed so many lives,” and “everyone at HBO…for making films like this, continually, that need to be heard.”
