KKK in Alabama: Trans “freaks” should pee outside

Not satisfied with being disgustingly racist, xenophobic, and homophobic, America’s most infamous group of white supremacists are latching onto right-wing horror at transgender people using public restrooms, in an attempt to recruit new members and solicit donations.

A KKK chapter in Alabama has been handing out fliers to residents in Dothan and Mobile, warning against transgender people being allowed to use the restroom of their choice, the Dothan Eagle reports.

The fliers quote biblical scripture and read: “These freaks are jeopardizing the safety of bathrooms all across the nation for our women and children. This needs to STOP.” All caps apparently was necessary to really drive home their bigotry.

That wasn’t the only revolting thing written (it’s the Klan, they don’t do hatred in half measures). The flier also called transgender people “freaks.”

“If your [sic] confused and don’t know what sex you are today USE A TREE OUT IN THE BACK YARD,” it reads/yells incoherently.

It then asks that readers help the KKK “stand up and boycott this abomination.”

Dothan Police Chief Steve Parrish told the Dothan Eagle that a member of the community had reported the flier and that it was being investigated.

“What you’re dealing with is potentially implications of a hate crime or promoting a hate crime, so we notified the FBI,” Parrish said.

Capt. Will Benny, supervisor of Dothan’s criminal investigation division, confirmed that while distributing the fliers wasn’t itself a criminal offence, the FBI were notified to provide intelligence information.

“Obviously any time you get hate-related material there’s a reason to be cautious and to investigate it,” said Capt. Stacy Robinson, of the city’s special operations bureau.
