Republicans can’t get enough of Cleveland’s male escorts

Is anyone really surprised by this?

“Business has been way better. I’ve seen 10 clients so far.”

–An anonymous male escort in Cleveland, speaking with the New York Post. Male escorts in the Cleveland area — which just so happens to be hosting the 2016 Republican National Convention — have seen a massive uptick in business in the past week.

Coincidence? Apparently not. Another escort has been seeing increased demand in Cleveland’s downtown area, which is where the Quicken Loans Arena is situated — and that just so happens to be the location of the RNC. The escort managed to clear $1,600 on Monday alone.

“I normally only make $200 to $300, but I’ve been seeing lots of guys in hotels downtown,” he said.

A third escort said his clients, or “johns” if you will, were mostly middle-aged, and that “one of them was from Texas and visiting for the convention. He said he was a politician.”

One of the escorts wasn’t surprised that an influx of Republicans — who just approved the most anti-LGBT platform in the party’s history — had also brought increased business.

“When it comes to anything people aren’t supposed to be doing, they like to do it,” he said. “The Republicans have a lot of delegates in the closet, let’s put it that way.”

Unfortunately, the same hasn’t been true of Cleveland’s female escorts.

“Business is slower than usual,” one told the Post. “I haven’t been getting any calls.”
