Anti-gay activist: Gay men just want a “cheap orgasm”

An unruly airline passenger ranting about anti-LGBTQ conspiracy theories was arrested after flight crew diverted the plane to Chicago out of concern for the safety of others onboard.
The man was aboard a Sun Country flight that left Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport at 7:13 a.m. on October 3. According to passenger Seth Evans, a Minnesota native who now lives in New York, the man acted erratically throughout the flight.
Evans told the Minnesota Star Tribune that the man repeatedly stood up and screamed in between playing rounds of Candy Crush on his phone.
Boston police are investigating a possible hate crime after a gay couple was attacked while walking in the city’s Mattapan neighborhood on September 13, leaving one man with a head injury.
According to a police report, the couple had been heading to a convenience store on River Street just before 8 p.m. when a group of men began hurling anti-gay remarks at them.
One of the men confronted the group, sparking a "verbal dispute" that escalated into a physical attack on the couple, according to Boston.com.
Graham Platner, a populist Democrat running for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine), has apologized for a series of past social media posts that included homophobic language and anti-LGBTQ slurs.
A former Marine and Army veteran, Platner now works as an oyster farmer. The 41-year-old has gained support from the economically populist left for his calls to break up monopolies, curb billionaires’ influence on elections, raise taxes on the wealthy, close loopholes that let them pay less than middle-income earners, and crack down on union-busting.
