A full day of activities marks Capital Pride’s first-ever event to celebrate the area’s transgender community. Free afternoon events include workshops covering legal, health and spiritual concerns and an informational fair featuring representatives from local organizations serving the transgender community. A screening of TransAmerica begins at 4:30. An awards dinner and dance (with DJ Lady Coco) caps the day’s festivities. $20 admission to the dance. Waterfront Metro station (Green line).

Honoring Victoria Jaymes (Miss Capital Pride 2006) and Eric Rainbow (Mr. Capital Pride 2006) and hosted by Patti Lovelace. These annual pageants celebrate the talents of those competing and the diversity of the LGBT community.
