Howard Dean on DADT Repeal [video]

Former DNC head tells protestors that ''equality can't be abridged'' and Senate committee has votes to pass repeal this year

Former chairman of the Democratic National Committee Howard Dean joined more than 100 people in Lafayette Park on Sunday, May 2, at a rally organized by Get Equal and others protesting what is perceived as slow movement by the White House on the repeal of the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy. Dean spoke in strong support of DADT repeal – and also told the crowd that Sen. Carl Levin (D-Mich.) “has the votes” to pass an end to the law in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee this year.
