Rick Welts on camera re: being gay but not out in pro basketball [video]

Rick Welts, President and CEO of Phoenix Suns went on camera with ESPN yesterday to expand on his public coming out, which appeared in the New York Times last weekend.

He said he personally cuts Kobe Bryant “a little slack” for angrily calling a referee an “f*ing faggot” a few weeks ago. Welts said Bryant regrets it, and he’s apologized, and he likely said what he thought would be most hurtful at that moment. (ESPN)
