There’s a new Microsoft mouse in town, one with a wedge

Microsoft input devices 2012

Microsoft announced several accessories for its upcoming Windows 8 and Surface tablet launch in October — the Sculpt Mobile Keyboard, the Sculpt Touch Mouse, the Wedge Mobile Keyboard and the Wedge Mobile Mouse. The Wedge Mobile Keyboard is especially interesting in that the keyboard’s cover not only serves as a screen protector for the Surface, but can be converted into a stand to hold it upright. Meanwhile, the Wedge Touch Mouse has the look of a block of cheese, and is topped by a touch sensitive surface. It includes BlueTrack technology that permits usage on any, ahem, surface. The items will be rolled out in the coming months, ahead of the Windows 8 (and now Surface, as well) launch Oct. 26.
