Over two dozen theater companies offer discounts for current productions
More than two dozen theater companies offer discounted tickets to current productions starting Tuesday, Sept. 19, and ending, Sunday, Oct. 1 for this year’s theatreWeek, organized by TheatreWashington.
Among this year’s 27 participating productions are Constellation’s The Wild Party, GALA’s Don Juan Tenorio, Keegan Theatre’s Stones in His Pockets, Mosaic Theater Company’s The Devil’s Music: The Life & Blues of Bessie Smith, Olney Theatre’s In The Heights, Theater Alliance’s Word Becomes Flesh, and Washington Improv Theater’s Rise Up 2017.
The promotion kicks off on Saturday, Sept. 16, with a free party at Woolly Mammoth (641 D St. NW), from noon to 4 p.m. The event includes food and drink options, ticket giveaways, additional discounts, and previews of upcoming productions at Arena Stage, Edge of the Universe Players, Ford’s Theatre, Nu Sass, Shakespeare Theatre, and The Welders.
