Maryland activates rights for state’s same-sex couples on July 1st

”Under several new laws, same-sex couples will have the same rights as married spouses to make medical decisions for each other and will be exempt from recordation taxes and state and county transfer taxes when they transfer property to their partner or the partner’s family member.”
